Inside the book
Four pages from this book, as its family received them.
One calm morning, Rita said: “I want to learn how to pray.” And she spread out her small green prayer rug in a cosy corner of the house.
Rita read a few letters and learned to read slowly. Every letter was like a little star lighting up inside her.
Rita walked around with small, quiet steps, remembering God in her heart. Everything felt orderly and peaceful.
Before bed, Rita whispered a little prayer and thanked God. She fell asleep peacefully, with her green prayer rug close by.
