Inside the book
Four pages from this book, as its family received them.
One warm morning, Lia sat on her soft rug and opened her favourite orange book. She set her little horse beside her and said, kindly but firmly: “I'll keep reading until I understand everything!”
Near the stable, Lia watched a calm horse drinking water. “Even horses need looking after,” she said softly, “and kindness makes everyone feel safe.”
Lia held a little orange stethoscope and tried it on her doll. She listened closely, with lovely determination: “I'll practise until I get it just right.”
On a quiet evening by the window, Lia hugged her book and looked up at the sky. She whispered with a smile: “I'm Lia… and when I grow up I'll be a doctor, because I love to help.”
